books
Notes on books that actually shifted something, including the part each one gets wrong. A book with no criticism attached is a book I probably didn't finish thinking about.
Atomic Habits
Changed the way I think about consistency by showing that small systems matter more than bursts of motivation.
My biggest criticism is that it can make habit building feel more predictable than it really is. In practice, unexpected life events and changing priorities often require more flexibility than the book emphasizes.
The Beginning of Infinity
Completely reshaped how I think about learning and progress by arguing that good explanations are the foundation of human advancement.
The downside is that it can be intellectually demanding and sometimes prioritizes philosophy over practical examples, making parts of it difficult to apply immediately.
The Almanack of Naval Ravikant
Encouraged me to think in terms of long-term leverage, decision making, and building skills that compound over time.
One weakness is that some of the advice is highly dependent on personality and circumstance, so not every principle translates equally well to everyone's career or life.
